I like to go swimming in the summer.
Swimming is my most favourite activity in the summer. When the sun is shining
and the air is warm, you will find me dipping into my backyard pool. It’s not an
impressive pool, only three feet deep, but it’s mine.
There are three reasons I like to swim.
8 I get lots of exercise.
8 I enjoy the freedom.
8 I have an opportunity to be in the sun. Paragraph

To achieve a similar layout in a browser, you use a text editor. There is where you put all
your codes and contents. For the PC it’s Notepad, for the MAC it’s TextEdit.
How does HTML Work?
HTML consists of a series of short codes typed into a text file by the site author. These
codes are called tags . The text is then saved as an html file and viewed through a
browser like Google Chrome. This browser reads the file and translates the text into a
visible form, hopefully rendering the page as the author had intended.
HTML Tags
HTML tags are the hidden key words within a web page that define how the web
browser must format and display the content.
Most tags must have two parts, an opening and a closing part. For example : <html>
is the opening tag and </html> is the closing tag. The closing tag has the same text
as the opening tag, but has an additional forward-slash (/) character.
There are some tags that are an exception to this rule, and where a closing tag is not
required. The <img> tag for showing images is one example of this.
