There are mainly four seasons in India. They are summer, rainy, autumn and
winter. The summer season is from March to May. In summers, the sun
becomes very hot by noon. Rivers and ponds dry up. Birds and animals feel

thirsty and search for water. Plants also dry because of the heat. Rainy season
is from June to September. It is also called monsoon season. There is rainfall
in all parts of India. People, animals and birds relax as there is less heat.

Autumn season is from October to November. Autumn season means change
from summers to winters. The arrival of night becomes earlier. Winter season
is from December to February. It is the coldest season of the year. We wear
woollen clothes to keep ourselves warm.
