Proper  nouns  refer  to  a  unique  entity,  such  as  New  York,  Saturn  or  George
               Washington.

               For example:

                              Common Noun                               Proper Noun

                                   Car                                      Ferrari

                                   Movie                                    Dead Pool

                                   Tea                                      Taj Tea

                                   Drink                                    Coca Cola

               Proper nouns always start with capital letters.


             A.  Use capital letters to show proper nouns.

                   For example:           United States

                   1.  The mississippi river is very long.

                   2.  I went to visit my hometown patna, bihar.

                   3.  I would like to visit antarctica one day.

                   4.  egypt is in africa.


                   5.  There is a large rainforest in south america.

                   6.  We went for fishing at table rock lake last summer.

                   7.  The capital of california is sacramento.

                   8.  She drove through cannaught place.

             B.  Underline  the  common  nouns  in  red                and  the  proper  nouns  in  blue       .  The
                   number at the end tells you how many to look for.


                   1.  Jack was in the bathroom. (2)

                   2.  My dog is jumping on the trampoline. (2)

                   3.  The boy was happy at school. (2)

                   4.  We all went to Jodhpur by bus. (2)

                   5.  Farhan likes to play in the park. (2)
