               Masculine and Feminine Gender

               A noun can be masculine or feminine.
               Masculine gender refers to a noun that denotes a male.

               For example:

                    My uncle     lives in Canada.

                    My father     is a doctor.
               Feminine gender refers to a noun that denotes a female.

               For example:

                    My aunt     lives in Canada.

                    My mother      is a doctor.
               In sentence 1, uncle denotes a male, therefore, it is masculine gender.

               In sentence 2, father denotes a male, therefore, it is masculine gender.

               In sentence 3, aunt denotes a female, therefore, it is feminine gender.
               In sentence 4, mother denotes a female, therefore, it is feminine gender.
