Movement of Animals
Animals move in search of food and shelter and for protection from
enemies. Their movements are of various kinds—some animals walk,
snake slithers, birds fly, fish swim while kangaroo hops and leaps.
Food Habits of Animals
Animals depend on plants and other animals for food.
Animals like cows, horses, elephants, goats, etc. eat plants and their
products. They are called herbivores.
Animals like lions, crocodiles eat flesh of other animals. They are called
carnivores.
Animals like bear, crow, etc. eat both plants and flesh of other animals.
They are called omnivores.
Animals like hyenas, vultures, etc. eat the flesh of dead animals. They
are called scavengers.
