            A  flower  is  a  special  part  of  the  plant.  Flowers  are  also  called  the
            blooms  or  blossoms  of  a  plant.  Flowers  have  petals.  In  all  plants,  a

            flower is usually its most colourful part. There are many different kinds

            of flowers in different areas of the world.

            Read the given clues. Identify the pictures and write the names of the
            flowers with the help of the Clue Corner.                                             1



            It  is  the  National  Flower  of  Nepal.  Its  leaves  are  spirally
            arranged. The size of the leaves ranges from 1.2 cm to 50 cm.

                                    It  is  an  orchid  found  in  Himalayan  regions.  It  is  the  State
                                    Flower of Sikkim.

            It is a small tree with flaky grey bark. The flowers are white
            with an orange-red centre. It is found in Southern Asia.

            It is India’s National Flower. It is planted in the soil bed of the
            pond.  The  leaves  of  the  flower  float  on  top  of  the  water

            surface.
