40                     Flying Animals







            Plenty of animals fly; this is no surprise to anyone who
            actually comes from the earth. However, there are plenty

            of flying animals that are really gliding versions of other
            animals.

            Pictures and descriptions of some gliding animals are
            given for you to identify and write their names.



            They are native to Australian Island continent. They are the cutest
            flying animals that can glide for about 50 to 150 feet.                                1

                                        It is found in tropical rain forest in Southern India and Southeast
                                        Asia. It has no wings nor loose  skin strung between its arms and
                                        legs, yet it can glide in air as far as 200 feet losing only 33 feet in
                                        height. ___________________








            They are scary looking flying animals. They are also called ‘air                 3

            sailing  horror  beast’.  They  are  mammals  that  can  glide  up  to
            328 feet without losing height of their sailing. ______________







                                                                 They  are  pretty  looking  strange  creatures
                                                                 which  hold  a  world  record  among  the
                                                                 flying  animals  to  reach  a  distance  of  288

                                    4                            feet in a single jump.
