                                          Olympics 2019





            The 2019 special olympics world summer games were held in Abu Dhabi
            from  March  14  to  21.  India  created  history  by  clinching  368  medals

            including 85 gold, 154 silver and 129 bronze medals during the prestigious
            event. Indian team of 284 athletes participated in the world games the 9th

            time. Medals were won across all sports in special Olympics 2019.

            Let’s celebrate the women at the games.


            Powerlifter Manali Slays!

            Nineteen-year-old  powerlifter,  Manali  Manoj
            Shelke  from  Maharashtra  won  a  gold  in  a
            combo  of  three  in  powerlifting  and  a  bronze

            too.




            Indian Paddlers

            Indian paddlers created history in table tennis

            with  four  gold  and  one  silver  medals.  Three
            paddlers  won  medals  in  the  women’s  singles
            section.  Among  them,  Anu  Chennekota  is  a

            debutante.  The  18-year-old  from  Andhra
            Pradesh  won  her  maiden  Special  Olympics
            World Games gold in the 16-21 years’ division-

            3 category.





            The elated Judo Star

            India’s  Muskan  won  gold  in  deadlifting,
            bagged a silver each in squat and bench press
            and a bronze as well.
