Rolling and Sliding
Have you ever played football ? When you kick it, it
rolls.
Try kicking a box. It does not roll like the
football. It slides.
Go up the slide in the park and slide down to
the bottom. Place a ball on top of the slide.
What happens to the ball ?
It rolls down the slide.
Take a plank (for example, your ruler) and
hold up one end a little above the other. Place
your rubber on the higher end and watch. It slides
down the ruler.
