Tidal Energy : The rise and fall of sea water in
the coastal area are called tides. The energy from
high and low tides is used to turn the turbines
and generate electricity, but the technology is not
yet fully developed. Such electricity is generated
in France, UK, Russia and India.

Even some of the renewable resources can

Tidal Energy We are already facing shortage of water at many

waste can be converted into a gaseous fuel called

              Terminology

Exhaustible : capable of being used up
Exploited : make full use of and derive benefit from
Durable : able to withstand wear, pressure or damage; hard-wearing
Luster : a gentle sheen or soft glow
Gypsum : a soft white or grey mineral consisting of hydrated calcium sulphate
Abundant : existing or available in large quantities; plentiful
