Saving the Workbook
Saving the workbook helps you to do work or view it in future.
Save and Save As
Excel offers two ways to save a file – Save and Save As. These options work in
similar ways with a few important differences.
Save : Every workbook created in Excel must be saved and assigned a name
to distinguish it from other workbooks. For saving a file/workbook you only
need to choose a file name and location first time. For this, go on the Save
command by clicking on it and save it with the name and location.
Save As : You need to use this command to create a copy of the
file/workbook by keeping the original. For this, go on Save As command
click on that and save it in different location by using the different name.
