Adverb
An adverb describes a verb, an adjective or another adverb. It tells us how, where, when,
how much and with what frequency.
There are five kinds of adverbs. They are:
Adverbs of manner describes in which manner an action is done.
For example:
They are living happily .
He was behaving angrily .
Adverb of place describes where an action is done.
For example:
They were coming here .
Someone is talking outside .
Adverb of time describes when an action is done.
For example:
He will come soon .
I am still waiting for my friend.
Adverb of frequency shows how many times an action is done.
For example:
I meet him daily .
He usually sleeps in the day.
Adverb of purpose describes the purpose or reason of an action.
For example:
Janny walks carefully to avoid falling.
Ria accidentally broke the vase.
