It is an ancient fortess city of the Incas situated in

the Andes Mountains in South Central Peru. It is
also known as the ‘Lost City of the Incas’. Its

construction began in 1430 AD. It is made up of
dry and polished stone walls. It was discovered

by US explorer, Hiram Bingham in 1911.

5 Standing 125 feet tall atop to Corcovado Mountain
high above Rio, this statue took ve years to
build. Constructed in France by sculptor Paul

Landowski, it was shipped to Brazil in pieces and
then carried up the mountain by train, where it
was reassembled.

It is also called the Rose City because of its pink

colour stone ruins. It is the ancient capital city in
Jordan. It was built in the 9th century B.C. during

the reign of King Aretas IV.

7 It is a 13171 mile wall was built to protect China
from invuding Huns, Mongols and other tribes
and to unite fortications into one defense system.

Begun in the 7th century BC, the barricade took
hundreds of years to build and ranks as the
world’s longest man-made structure and is the

only one visible from space.
