22 Feathery Creatures
With over 10,500 identified species, birds are found in all corners of the world. Each
species is unique and able to survive in a huge range of environment.
Read the descriptions of some birds given below and write their names. Use
pictures as clues.
1. It is the only known poisonous bird in the
world. The poison is found in its skin and

This Corner
The most dangerous bird species in the world is said to be the Southern Cassowary. Cassowaries can
grow up to 6ft. tall and 130 lbs and are equipped with large, sharp spurs with which they kick their
enemies to defend themselves and their territory.
