The Nobel Prize refers to one of the highest international honours awarded for
contributions to the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature
and Peace. The first of the Nobel Prizes was Ganded in 1901.

● The Nobel Peace Prize 2017 was awarded to
International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons
(ICAN) for its ground-breaking efforts to achieve a
treaty-based prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
● The Nobel Prize in Literature 2017 was awarded to
Kazuo Ishiguro 2017 who, in novels of great
emotional force, has uncovered the abyss beneath
our illusory sense of connection with the world.
