Negative: 1. I had not been singing .

Interrogative: 1. Had you been singing ?
2. Had she been dancing ?
Past Perfect Continuous Tense is used to –
G denote an action which began before a certain time in the past and was still in
progress at that time or had very recently finished.

I was very tired when I came home because I had been swimming in the pool
for half an hour.
We will now learn the usage of since and for .
G We use since when we have to put emphasis on the point of time at which an action
started.

G We use for when we wish to emphasise on the period for which an action has been
going on.

Since and for are used with Perfect Continuous Tenses.
