Future tense is used to express some future actions or events.

Complete each sentence below with the future tense form of the verb
given in the brackets.
1. The boys _________ on the trampoline at the party. (jump)

3. We _________ in the summer. (swim)
4. The man _________ his lawn in the afternoon. (water)

5. The girls _________ with each other on the weekend. (play)

We will now study the form of will/shall to express the future time.

G will/shall + root form of the verb + .........

Will is used with all persons. Shall can be used in place of ‘will’ only with the first
person.
