Objective : To reinforce the concept of comparison of like fractions.

Materials Required : Square lined paper strips.

Preparation :

Small folded chits with numbers 1 to 10 on them are kept in bowl-1. Small folded

chits with numbers 1 to 20 are kept in another bowl-2. Two bowls of each kind
should be given to groups of 6 students.

Steps :

1. First student will take the strips of (10 × 1).

2. Each student will pick up a chit from the first bowl.

3. They will shade the numbers of squares on their strips, as per the number on
the chit.

4. This group will arrange the strips in ascending order (for shaded portion) to get.

5. Then the same activity will be done with the order strip like (10 × 2) also.
