c. If 5 × 8 = 40, then _______ is the multiple of 5 and 8.

                 d. If _______ × _______ = _______ , then 6 and 9 are the factors of 54.

                 e. If 7 × 7 = 49, then 7 is the _______ of 49.

                 f. If 8 × 4 = 32, then 32 is the _______ of 4 and 8.

Objective : To strengthen the concept of factors.

Materials Required : Number cards from 1 to 99.

Preparation : Prepare cards on thick square paper of 2 cm × 2 cm

                            1 2 3 ______________ 98 99

            Steps :

            1. First pupil from one group will pick up one number card (say 16) from the
carton and will show it to the second group and shuffle it in carton.

            2. Another student from the second group will pick the cards bearing the

number which are factors of that number.

            3. They get one point for every correct factor which they give.

            4. Then, a student from the second group will pick up one number card (say 10)
from the shuffled number cards. Then he/she will show it to first group and

will shuffle it in the carton.

            5. One student from the first group will pick up the cards bearing the numbers
which are factors of the number shown and get one point for every correct

                 factor that they give.

            6. Then, all the cards will be shuffled again and game will continue till the
desired time and the winner group will be declared.

                 Record the activity :
