Addition and Subtraction of Metric Measures

The method of addition and subtraction in metric measures is the same as that of
whole numbers.

Example : Add the following.

a. 4 km 321 m and 18 km 265 m
b. 425 m 6 cm and 84 m 26 cm

c. 17 l 307 ml and 89 l 839 ml

d. 26 kg 226 g and 485 kg 32 g

Solution : a. 4 km 321 and 18 km 265 m
