Example : Write the Roman Numerals for the following numbers :
a. 891 b. 786 c. 456 d. 989 e. 1341
f. 4429 g. 17946 h. 90000 i. 62495 j. 49972
Solution : a. 891 = 800 + 90 + 1 = DCCC + XC + I = DCCCXCI
b. 786 = 700 + 80 + 6 = DCC + LXXX + VI = DCCLXXXVI
c. 456 = 400 + 50 + 6 = CD + L + VI = CDLVI
d. 989 = 900 + 80 + 9 = CM + LXXX + IX = CMLXXXIX
e. 1341 = 1000 + 300 + 40 + 1 = M + CCC + XL + I = MCCCXLI
f. 4429 = 4000 + 400 + 20 +9 = IV + CD + XX + IX = IVCDXXIX
g. 17946 = 17,000 + 900 + 40 + 6
= XVII + CM + XL + VI
= XVIICMXLVI
h. 90000 = 90,000 = XC
i. 62495 = 62,000 + 400 + 90 + 5
= LXII + CD + XC + V
= LXIICDXCV
j. 49972 = 49,000 + 900 + 70 + 2
= XLIX + CM + LXX + II
= XLIXCMLXXII
