A word used to identify any of a class of people, places or things or to name a
             particular one of these is called a noun         .

             Read the following examples:

             Flower, Man, Teacher, Chair, Town etc.

             There are mainly five types of nouns.

               Common Nouns                     Proper Nouns                      Concrete Nouns

               Abstract Nouns                   Collective Nouns


             G  A name shared by all the persons/animals/things/objects belonging to the same
                   category are common nouns           .
                   Read the following examples:

                   Man, Ant, Table, Building, Fear, Minute etc.

             G     A name given to a particular person/object/place/thing/ is called proper noun                      .
                   It is always started with a capital letter.

                   Read the following examples:
                   1.  Divyansh      lives in London    .

                   2.  Pluto    is a dwarf planet.

             G     Concrete nouns refer to things that exist physically and that, at least one of the
                   senses, can detect.

                   Read the following examples:
                   1.  The dog      is a faithful animal.

                   2.  I ate an apple     .

             G     Abstract nouns name given to a quality, an action or a state of mind.
                   Read the following examples:

                   1.  I admire his honesty       .

                   2.  She had pain       in her legs.
             G     Collective  nouns  name  given  to  a  collection  or  a  group  of  similar  persons
                   animals/objects etc. considered as one.

                   Here is a list of some collective nouns. Read them carefully:

                   a loaf  of bread               a piece   of paper           a slice    of pizza
                   a bolt   of lightning          a deck    of  cards          a bunch     of grapes
