G A noun is the name of a person, place, animal or thing.

G An adjective describes a noun or a pronoun in a sentence.

G A verb describes the action done by the noun or pronoun in a sentence.
Read the following example:
The Indian team won a great victory.
G An adverb is a word that adds to the meaning of a verb.
Read the following example:
The lion roared angrily .
(roared how)
G A preposition is a word which shows the relation between a noun or a
pronoun and some other words in a sentence.
Read the following example:
Sarah put her bag on the table.
(the relation between the table and the bag)
