Living things are categorised as either male or female.
There are mainly four types of gender.
Masculine Gender Feminine Gender
Common Gender Neuter Gender
G A noun that denotes a male is said to be of the masculine gender .
Read the following examples:

G A noun that denotes a female is said to be Nouns that end in -ess or -ress often
of the feminine gender . belong to the feminine gender.
