Pronouns are words which are used in a sentence to refer to people and things
without naming them. Pronouns make statements less repetitive.
Read the following examples:
G Mr. Sunil Sharma is the Principal of our school. G He is a great player.
G All the students respect him .
Types of Pronouns
There are mainly five types of pronouns.
Personal Pronouns Reflexive Pronouns Interrogative Pronouns
Demonstrative Pronouns Possessive Pronouns
G Personal pronouns are used when referring to yourself, the people you are
talking to or the people or things you are talking about.
Pronouns like ,I we , you , he , she , him , her , , it they , them are personal pronouns.

Nominative Case Objective–Accusative Case Possessive Case
Ist PERSON
Singular – I me mine
Plural – we us ours
2nd PERSON
Singular – you you yours
Plural – you you yours
him his
3rd PERSON
Singular – he, she, it her hers
Plural – they its its
their theirs
G A reflexive pronoun is used to show that the object of the verb is the same

ourselves and themselves are reflexive pronouns.
