G Adjectives which specifically point out the nouns in an answer to a question
are said to be demonstrative adjectives .
Read the following examples:
1. This girl is my sister.
2. Who are these children?
G Interrogative Adjective asks a question what , which , whose etc.
Read the following examples:
1. Whose shirt is this?
2. Which subject do you like the most?
G Possessive Adjective shows possession or belonging. It tells us to whom an
object belongs.
Read the following examples:
1. This is my house. 2. It is her book.
3. I am his brother.
Adjectives are formed by adding suffix to the nouns.

- able comfortable, readable,
- ible incredible, invisible
-al comical, normal, musical
-ial industrial, presidential
ful beautiful, harmful, peaceful, wonderful
Adjectives– Degrees of Comparison
Every adjectives has three degrees of comparison.
Positive Degree Comparative Degree Superlative Degree
G Positive degree is used to tell in a simple way the quality of a person or thing.
G Adjectives that compare two items are called comparative degree .
G Adjectives that tell about the highest degree are called superlative degree .
