Read the following examples:

                       1.  Shoes made in Agra are        world famous.
                       2.  My shoes are      made of leather.

             G  Nouns like cattle, people, gentry, dozen, score, police, etc. take plural verb.

                  Read the following examples:
                       1.  The cattle are    grazing in the meadow.

                       2.  People were      standing at the railway station.

             G    When  two  subjects  are  joined  by  ‘not-only’  ….  ‘but-also’,  the  verb  will  be  used
                  according to its nearest subject.
                  Read the following examples:
                       1.  Not only     the boys but also   their mother was in the school.

                       2.  Not only     the mother but also    her daughters were in the party.

             G    Uncountable  nouns  like  furniture,  advice,  work,  knowledge,  equipment,  scenery,
                  traffic, progress, weather, information, etc. take singular verbs.
                  Read the following examples:

             G    Nouns  like  sheep,  hair,  fish,  deer,  etc.  take  plural  /  singular  verb  in  reference  of
                  description.
