The above chart shows the place values of the numbers. This is an Indian
method. So, it is called as Indian place value chart .
In the above chart, in ones period (start from right) there are three places,
i.e., ones, tens and hundreds. We read the ones period together.
The fourth and fifth places from right are thousands period . We read both the
digits together. Generally, we use a comma to separate the periods.
