In India, many festivals are
celebrated by the people of
different regions.
Let us study about some popular
festivals of India.
India is a land of festivals. In India, mainly two types of festivals are
celebrated. These are — National festivals and Religious festivals.
National Festivals
Republic Day
Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January every year. On this day in
1950, India became a Republic. On this day, a grand parade is taken out
at Rajpath in which our armed forces and school children participate.
The President of India takes the salute at the parade.
