Holi
Holi marks the end of winter and the
start of spring. It generally comes in the
month of March. It is called the Festival
of Colours Holi is celebrated in the
memory of Bhakt Prahlad. On Holi,
people throw coloured water and apply
gulal on one another, sing, dance and
have lots of fun together. A sweet dish
called Gujiya is prepared on this day.

Christmas
Christmas is the festival of Christians.
It is celebrated on 25th December
every year. It marks the birthday of
Lord Jesus Christ. Christians decorate
their houses with small and beautiful
X-mas trees. They go to Churches at
mid-night to offer special prayers.
Children believe that Santa Claus
leaves gifts for them under the
Christmas tree.
