Hello, I am Elina. I am a ten-
year-old girl. John is my
brother. We live with our
parents. With whom do you live?
A group consisting of two parents and their children living together as a unit
is called a family.
A family can be big or small. A family where father, mother and their
children live together is called a nuclear family or a small family.
Joint family, also known as extended family, is a family where more than
two generations live together under one roof. It is a family where father,
mother and their children live with their uncles, aunts, cousins or
grandparents.
