Fish
Fish have a streamlined body that enables them to
move in water with ease. Fish breathe air dissolved
in water through special organs called gills. The
gills help fish to take in oxygen from the water
into their blood. Fish breathe through their gills . Fish breathe through gills.
Fish have fins that help them in swimming.

Crustaceans
Lobsters, turtles and crabs have a shell on their bodies.
They have special limbs to swim. They breathe with the
help of gills.
Water Birds
Ducks, geese and swans are all related. They are known as
waterfowl because they spend most of their time in
water. They all have webbed feet and are fine swimmers.
Herons have long, slim legs with which they stand in water.
Mammals
Dolphins, seals, sea lions, walruses and
whales also live in water but they are not
fishes. They have no gills like fish. They have
to come up to the water surface to breathe
from time to time. They are mammals
because they give birth to young ones.
