              4.  The population of three towns are 39256, 370882 and 712930 respectively.
                   Find the total population of all the towns.

              5.  Find the sum of 25676 and 57290.
              6.  Find the sum of 709563, 345287 and 607295.

              7.  In a school library, there are 15924 books of English, 9875 books of Hindi and
                   28158 books of other languages. How many books are there in the library ?

              8.  45555 bricks are required to build a house and 12054 bricks are required to
                   build a cattle shed. What is the required number of bricks ?

              9.  Find the sum of 928789 and 56732.
             10.  There are 10879 male teachers and 8729 female primary teachers in a state.

                   What is the total number of teachers in the state ?

            Subtraction

            The larger number from which we subtract the other number is known as

            minuend. The number which is subtracted is called                       subtrahend. The result of

            subtraction is called the difference             of the given numbers.
