The abacus shows—
8 ten crores + 4 crores = 80 crores + 4 crores = 84 crores in crores period.
6 ten lakhs + 3 lakhs = 60 lakhs + 3 lakhs = 63 lakhs in lakhs period.
2 ten thousands + 1 thousand
= 20 thousands + 1 thousand = 21 thousands in thousands period.
4 hundreds + 9 tens + 2 ones = 400 + 90 + 2 = 492 in ones period.
When we write altogether putting the period marks, we get,
84,63,21,492 and read as “eighty four crore sixty three lakh twenty one thousand four
hundred ninety two”.
