* Food is one of our most basic needs.
* Plants are the main sources of food.
* Cereals and pulses together are called food grains.
* Oil is extracted from special seeds called oilseeds.
* Fruits and vegetables are also obtained from plants.
* Spices are added to the food to give its flavour, taste and colour.
* The journey of food has these steps:
1. Ploughing the field 2. Sowing the seeds 3. Irrigating the field
4. Harvesting the crop 5. Threshing the crop 6. Winnowing the crop.
