G Verb + Object + Infinitive

G Verb + How / What / Why / Where + Infinitive

1. Manik knows how to drive a car.
2. I know how to solve the question.
G Verb + Object + To be
Read the following examples:
1. He thought to be a singer in his life.
2. Alam asked me to be present in the function.
G Too + Adjective + Infinitive
Read the following examples:
1. You are too young to drive a car.
2. The land was too small to build a house.
G Adjective / Adverb + Enough + Infinitive
Read the following examples:
1. You are mature enough to understand the situation.
2. Shrikant is wise enough to find the way out.
Bare Infinitive
There is another form of the infinitive which uses the base form of the verb without the ‘to’.
Read the following examples:
1. It might rain tomorrow.
2. You need not come back.
G A word that is like a verb, but performs the work of an adjective is called participle .
Participles are also non-finites.
Read the following examples:
1. The broken vase is of no use.
2. Having finished his homework, he went out.
