This can be used as a shortcut to calculate the volume.
Volume = length × breadth × height
V = l × b × h
Example : Find the volume of this cuboid as shown
Height
Solution : Volume of the cuboid = l × b × h 4 cm
V = 6 cm × 2 cm × 4 cm
Breadth
V = 48 cu. cm.
2 cm
\ Volume of the cuboid is 48 cu. cm. Length 6 cm
Example : Find the volume of this cube as shown
Solution : Volume of a cube = l × b × h
12 cm
V = 12 cm × 12 cm × 12 cm.
V = 12 × 12 × 12 cu. cm.
\ Volume of the cube is 1728 cu. cm. 12 cm
