number.

Division

As we know;

Dividend : The number to be divided is called the dividend.

Divisor : The number by which division is made is called the divisor.
Quotient : The number of times the divisor is contained in the dividend is called the

quotient.
Remainder : After subtracting the product of divisor and quotient from the dividend we

get the remainder.

Division of a 5-Digit Number by a 1-Digit Number

Example : Divide 84326 by 2.

Solution : 42163
