Sense of Sight

g Birds have a very strong sense of sight. Their
eyes are large and produce sharp images,
                   specially during flight.

g Eagles, hawks and vultures can see their prey

                   from many kilometres away.

g Nocturnal animals have the best night vision.
They include cats, mice, bats, owls and moths.

g Reptiles like chameleon have the ability to move

their eyes independently in different directions.
For this reason, they can see in two directions at
the same time which help them in finding food
and also makes them aware of any danger.

Members of the cat family like tigers and leopards have the best night vision.

              Do Animals Sleep?

Like us, animals also need to rest and sleep. Different animals sleep in

different ways. Cows sleep with their eyes open. Bats sleep hanging upside
down from the branch of a tree. Horses sleep while standing. Migratory
              birds sleep while flying.
