Pearls are obtained from oysters.

Pearls are generally used in
making show-pieces and
ornaments. Real pearls have very
high value in the commercial

market. Now-a-days, artificial
pearls are also being made.

Wool

We get wool from animals like
sheep, goats and rabbits.
Woollen clothes keep us warm

in winter season.

Lac

We get lac from animals. Lac-
insects provide us with lac which
is mainly used in making

bangles. It is also used in paints
and varnishes. Other uses of lac
include making seals.

Fuel from Animals

Dung of cows and buffaloes are also very useful.
It is used in making dung cakes which are used as
fuel after drying. It does not cause pollution.

Cowdung cakes

Cattle dung and agricultural wastes are used
in making bio-gas in gobar gas plants. This
bio-gas is used as a source of fuel. Gobar gas
is a cheap and eco-friendly fuel. It can also

be used for street lighting and for running
engines. It also does not cause pollution.
