So, increase the tenths place digit by 1 and

Digit at tenths place
So, increase the tenths place digit by 1 and
replace each digit after it with 0.
\ Rounded off number of 48.354 = 48.400
Rounding off a Decimal to the Nearest Hundredths (Correct to Two Decimal Places)
« First, examine the thousandths place digit.
« If the thousandths place digit is less than 5, then replace each digit after
hundredths place with 0.
« If the thousandths place digit is 5 or greater than 5, then increase the hundredths
place digit by 1 and replace each digit after it with 0.
Example : Round off the following decimals to the nearest hundredths :
a. 35.684 b. 38.638 c. 64.205

place is less than 5.
Solution : a. Given decimal = 35.68 4
So, replace each digit after hundredths place with 0.
\ Rounded off number of 35.684 = 35.680.
