We eat food according to our taste,
the food which we don’t find tasty,
is not eaten by us. The tongue helps
us to taste the food and teeth

helps us to chew the food.
Tongue

The tongue is an important taste organ. It tells the Bitter
taste of food we eat.

It also helps us to take our food inside our mouth

and in speaking. There are tiny bumps on the surface
of the tongue which are called taste buds.

Each taste bud is connected to the brain with nerves. Salty
These taste buds help us to sense the four basic taste

– sweet, sour, bitter and salty.
